BEHAVIOUR IN CLASS

>HELLO MY FELLOW CLASSMATES,

MR ONG IS OUT ON RESERVICE AND EXPECTS US TO BE WELL- BEHAVED. WE HAVE BEEN PLAYFUL DURING CLASS AND DID NOT LISTEN TO ZHONG LAO SHI. > MR ONG WILL BE THOROUGHLY DISSAPOINTED. I SUGGEST THAT WE SHOULD TAKE INTEREST IN OUR STUDIES AND BE GENTLEMENLY. WE WILL NOT MAKE ZHONG LAO SHI HAVE TO SHOUT. IF NOT, I WILL INFORM MR ONG MYSELF, TOGETHER WITH THE CLASS MONITERS. > THE OTHER THING I WANT TO TALK ABOUT IS REGARDING MS FARAH. EITHER WE FORGET TO DO OUR HOMEWORK, FORGET TO BRING OUR HOMEWORK OR WE NEGLECT OUR WORK, SHE IS VERY STRESSED AND UNHAPPY. LET US MAKE OUR SOCIAL STUDIES LESSONS MORE INTERESTING AND INSTEAD OF FACING MS FARAH'S ANGRY FACE, LET'S SEE HER SMILE AND BE PROUD OF BEING 5 KINDNESS'S SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER. SO LET US TURN OVER A NEW LEAF AND NOT LET HER BE FURIOUS ANYMORE.

The Best Holiday Ever














This
holiday trip to Japan was the BEST because we went to many places like the ninja museum, the golden pavillion and the Shogun's castle. The Shogun's castle is really cool because the floor squeaks when you step on them. Thats why they call it the nightingale floor. This floor is built that way so that when an assasin came to assasinate th Shogun, they will be warned by the squeaking noises of the floor. The golden pavillion is like a golden villa. it is HUGE and it is all golden i thought it was only for reference but i was wrong. It was actually for the Shoguns to stay. Next is the ninja museum here are some real pictures.That is a picture of a shuriken(left) it is a throwing device for the ninja's to use. Next is the kunai ( right) this is also a throwing device but it also ca be used for close combat, digging holes and cutting ropes. The picture on the top right is the ninja sword.I bet all of you know what it is for so i wont explain. On the top is the senbon. It is like needles, it is sharp at both ends and are uasually dipped in poison or in sleeping powder. Next is the smoke grenade(Top Left) it is used for covering the ninja at desperate times like when he is surrounded, he will throw a few smoke bombs at the enemy or in front of him to hide them. Did you know that framented wolf dung is used to make smoke bombs? they only use framented wolf dung cause it will fly straight up into the sky instead of bending. That is where you can get the thick and foul smelling smoke around you.

RESEARCH POSTER: OUR LOCAL WAR HERO (Pairwork)
RESEARCH/ILLUSTRATE/EXPLAIN 
Specific Instructional Objectives
Pupils should be able to:
  • identify a local war hero during War World 2
  • describe his/her achievement in detail on the poster (Drawing block size)
  • design a poster to inform readers of the achievements of this local war hero
  • explain poster to the class in a presentation
  • communicate and cooperate as pairs

National Education Message
We ourselves must defend Singapore 
Suggested Activities
  1. Identify certain war heroes to the pupils
  2. Group pupils in pairs.
  3. Provide pupils with opportunities to gather information from printed and non-printed sources about local war heroes. Tell them not to limit themselves to the heroes in the textbook.
  4. Encourage pupils to summarise the information in their own words and to illustrate clearly on the poster.

2. Those who are in groups of 8, please segregate yourselves into 4 pairs. 
    Those who are in groups of 7, there should be 2 pairs & a group with 3 members.
    No joining members from other groups as I have all your names recorded already.
To the boys, don't worry so much, this is a fun project where you can express your artistic talents! :)
So, HAVE FUN with colours!
